In order to achieve its objectives, the Malaysia-Europe Forum (MEF) undertakes various activities and programmes, both in Europe and in Malaysia, focussing on issues and themes of interest, in the context of Malaysia-Europe relations. The MEF conducts several Flagship Initiatives such as:
- The MEF’s annual dialogues held every year in the spring in a different European city, and in Kuala Lumpur at year-end
These annual dialogues, with keynote speakers comprising of Governmental and Corporate Leaders, as well as Policy and Decision Makers, are held in various European cities and in Kuala Lumpur, to update participants on policies pertaining to matters of bilateral interest.
- The MEF-European Ambassadors Roundtable
Every year the MEF engages with European Ambassadors based in Kuala Lumpur and holds an open dialogue for the MEF to receive feedback from these European Ambassadors, as well as discuss challenges in current Malaysia-Europe relations and brainstorm ideas on the way forward for better Malaysia-Europe relations.
- The MEF Roundtable Series on Sustainability
This series of roundtables held in both Europe and Malaysia, brings together policy makers, subject matter experts, academics and industry professionals from Malaysia and Europe to a focussed and dedicated platform to further enhance knowledge exchange as well as provide a platform to strengthen bilateral cooperation and facilitate joint-venture projects between Malaysia and Europe.

- The MEF Young European Internship Programme
This Youth Internship Programme places European students as interns in Malaysian companies, at no cost to either intern or company.
- MEF Publications
Publications produced by the MEF include a quarterly newsletter, DIALOG, as well as an official report following the proceedings of every dialogue, roundtable, seminar or conference hosted
- Friends of the MEF
The MEF is open to applications for those who are interested to become a Friend of the MEF. Friends will have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, be exposed to business opportunities, as well as develop a clearer understanding on the current issues and challenges facing Malaysia and Europe.
